A bilingual public tool that turns modeled outdoor weather for a selected location into transparent Temperature-Humidity Index (THI/ITH) context for livestock operations.
Livestock operators need more than a single temperature reading when heat and humidity combine. The tool separates historical observations from forecasts and presents local-time classifications without claiming to measure animals or facilities.
The system follows a controlled path: selected location → validated request → weather-provider data → authoritative versioned ITH methodology → classifications and derived signals → historical/forecast separation → local-time presentation. Raw weather is transformed into understandable signals while uncertainty and unclassified intervals remain visible.
The implementation includes a bilingual interface, strict request validation, weather-provider integration, versioned API disclosure, opt-in coordinate map selection, accessible loading and error states, complete historical and forecast tables, automated tests and a diagnostic CTA that does not gate the tool with email.
The frontend does not recalculate or alter API results, fill threshold gaps or reinterpret classifications. Values are modeled outdoor conditions, not animal, barn, shade, ventilation, cooling, water, breed, health or direct farm observations. Forecasts can change; animals must be observed directly and local and veterinary protocols remain authoritative. This is not veterinary diagnosis or treatment advice, and no Guatemala-specific empirical validation is claimed.
Map activation is user-controlled and coordinates and ITH values are excluded from GA4. The active methodology version is shown exactly as returned by the API; the public tool does not claim that the legacy runtime is a reviewed candidate methodology.
